Our partner had no seller for Power Tools Chainsaw when we last checked on 2026-10-24. Models go in and out of stock through the year, so it is worth a look again later.

Power Tools Chainsaw is the Maxx Action toy construction truck that tends to get picked up first and put down last. It carries its own light and sound set.

The specifics, straight off the box: The removable battery pack gives little lumberjack’s the real experience. This toy chainsaw sounds just like the real thing. When you crank the t-handle you will hear realistic start up sounds and see the power indicating red light.

Young construction workers ages five and up can buzz their way around the construction site and explore their imaginations with role play fun. Designed with safety in mind, the chainsaw is made of high-quality, durable materials for indoor and outdoor play.

Little lumberjacks can buzz their way around the backyard or pretend construction site with the Maxx Action Power Tools Chainsaw! When kids see adults take out a chain saw to sever a tree limb or prune some hedges, they may want to give it a try too. A chainsaw is just not safe for children. However, this toy chainsaw is perfectly made for little hands and has an authentic shape and design. This toy chainsaw acts and sounds just like the real thing. It has a pretend plastic blade that rotates when you pull the trigger and a power indicating red light. When you crank the t-handle you will hear realistic start up sounds. The removable battery pack gives kids the real experience.

Add something to haul the spoil and the yard turns into a working loop rather than a shelf.

Living with this toy construction truck

The only performance figure we argue about internally is whether the lamps and the audio are still crisp a year after the box came open, and that is what Power Tools Chainsaw was drawn around. Everything else on the box is description. That is the performance test it has to pass before we will put our name on the cab.

Service on this one is deliberately dull: grit brushed dry out of the hubs instead of oiled, a barely damp cloth on the bodywork, and the accessories washed properly in warm water. That is the whole maintenance list. If it fails inside normal service rather than wearing out, raise it through the order page of the partner store that handled the sale.

Where this toy construction truck fits on a kids’ site

On a working site this is the hauling end of the loop. It is the one that takes the load off the site, which only matters once something is filling it. A single truck is a toy; three that can hand work to each other are a site, and the jobs this one leaves open are these:

  • Digging — an excavator or a backhoe, with a rotating turret and a bucket that bites.
  • Loading — a skid steer loader or a wheel loader, scooping with forks or a front bucket.
  • Lifting — a crane truck spooling a line off a drum, or a forklift raising its forks up a track.
  • Clearing — a bulldozer, pushing spoil ahead of a blade until the ground is flat.

Add cones, a barrier and a worker figure from whatever comes in the box and the floor stops being a floor. Built tough matters more once several vehicles are in play, because the one that gets dropped is always the one somebody else needs next. Big street haulers and the quad runners in our off-road collection run the same wheels and take the same punishment, so they mix into a yard of construction toys without looking out of place.

Kids who have the whole loop keep going long after the fun of unwrapping has worn off, and that is where the hours come from: not from one impressive model, but from a sequence that closes and starts again.

What owners wrote about this model

Fun for kids

My kids love it, there’s no volume control so it can get annoying but like any cordless drill the battery pack comes off. Not too expensive and the quality is decent, it’s child size and functional as a pretend chainsaw the chain is rubber, kids have fun with it, Uses a few AA batteries.

Great product

All my children have played with this toy. It is very durable and works great. We haven’t had to change batteries more than a couple times. The sounds is pretty loud. My kids love it and have had so much fun playing with it.

Fun toy for kids of all ages

I bought this for my 8 year old. Although it seems small to him it works great. It is very realistic with a moving chain, sounds, and removable battery pack. It does not come With a battery charger but the battery pack can be removed to change batteries when needed. Great price and value. It’s been durable so far.
