Maxx Action Outdoor and Role-Play Gear
Pump-action foam launchers, cap sets and the cowboy kit, for the games that happen outside.
Not everything we make rolls. This small corner of the yard is our outdoor and role-play gear: foam-ball launchers with a working pump, cap sets with a proper mechanical action, and the western kit that has been in our catalog for years. Everything here is molded in bright colors, sized for a child's grip and built around a mechanism rather than a sound chip.
Mechanical rather than electronic, on purpose
Nothing on this shelf runs on a sound chip. The launchers work off a real pump, the cap sets off a proper mechanical action, and the western kit off a spring. A child can see what is happening and can feel the resistance in their hand, which is a different kind of toy from one that makes a noise when a button is pressed.
Performance you can feel in the pump
Range on a foam launcher comes from the seal rather than the spring, so that is where we spend the money. A tired seal is the usual reason an old launcher loses performance, and it is also why we tell people not to leave one loaded and primed overnight. Pump it, fire it, park it empty.
Service, spares and what wears first
Foam balls go missing long before anything breaks, which is why the launchers ship with more than one. We do not sell individual spares from here; if a mechanism fails inside normal service, raise it through the order page of the partner store that handled the purchase. Everything else is washable in warm water, because this is outdoor kit and it comes back muddy.
Where these belong
Outside. The age mark on the box reflects a mechanism with real tension in it and foam that travels further than people expect indoors. Give the game a garden, a park or a driveway and it works the way it was drawn; give it a hallway and somebody knocks a lamp over.
How this shelf is meant to be used
These are the items we get the most questions about, so here is our line: they are toys, they fire foam or nothing at all, and the age mark on the box is there for a reason. Read it, then let the game happen in the garden rather than the hallway.
Field and Range currently runs to 5 models on this page, 5 of them available to order right now. Every price here is the figure we last read from our retail partner, and every button opens the order page for that exact model in a new tab.
