Racer Rescue Wrecker sits in our rescue rigs collection of Maxx Action toy rescue trucks, and it is a straightforward piece of kit with a clear job. It works a crane boom on a spooled line; it carries its own light and sound set.
Here is what it does, in plain terms: Take control of the scene. One joystick controls the boom arm, while the other raises and lowers the tow hook, securing any vehicle in a child's fleet. This set also includes a towable sports car for extra realistic fun.
Pull back, rev up, and watch the truck roll smoothly with the friction motor. Helps toddlers build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, while encouraging independent play and creative storytelling.
Hook, lift, and haul with the Maxx Action Racer Rescue Wrecker! Kids can take the controls of this powerful motorized tow truck and turn any play area into a busy rescue scene. Featuring realistic lights, authentic truck sounds, and joystick-powered controls, this wrecker delivers action-packed fun. Use the dual joysticks to operate the boom arm and tow hook—raise, lower, extend, and secure vehicles for real towing action. Hit the button to fire up the engline and start the flashing light bar.
We mark this one for ages 3+, which is about grip size and small parts rather than how hard it is to enjoy. Park it next to a construction set and the first dump-truck tip gives it a job to do.

Living with this Maxx Action toy truck
We rate Racer Rescue Wrecker on performance rather than packaging, and performance here means whether a crane boom on a spooled line still works after a season on a hard floor. On that measure the performance holds up, which is why we have not redrawn it.
Keeping it in service is a kitchen-table job: grit brushed dry out of the hubs instead of oiled, a barely damp cloth on the bodywork, and the accessories washed properly in warm water. Nothing here needs a workshop, and nothing here voids anything. Anything that breaks inside normal service goes back through the order page of the partner store that handled the sale, not through us.
What owners wrote about this model
Loud, and tons of fun
This thing is a beast for a toy. The motorized wheels actually have some power behind them, it hauls across the floor quicker than you would expect. My son loves using the wrecker hook to drag around his other smaller trucks. The lights and sounds are loud but not obnoxious, and the toy feels solid enough to take a few drops. Batteries are required, but they lasted a good while. If you have a kid who is into big trucks, this one is a sure win.
Pretty fun little tow truck with some real sounds
We've had the Maxx Action Mega Motorized tow truck for a week now and my kids like it for the most part. I like the size of it. It's one of our larger vehicle toys. The trucks makes some realistic truck sounds as well. The levers to raise and lower the arm in the back are pretty cool. I do wish the hook could extend or retract though. The red car that's used for towing could be better quality too. It feels pretty generic with minimal details.
