Our partner had no seller for 2-N-1 Firetruck with Joystick Controls when we last checked on 2026-10-24. Models go in and out of stock through the year, so it is worth a look again later.

2-N-1 Firetruck with Joystick Controls sits in our rescue rigs collection of Maxx Action toy rescue trucks, and it is a straightforward piece of kit with a clear job. It works an extending ladder; it carries its own light and sound set; the body measures about 16 inches end to end.

The specifics, straight off the box: Kids can take control with two joysticks that make the firetruck’s ladder spin a full 360° and move up and down. Flashing lights, siren sounds, and motorized movement let a child bring the firetruck to life as they race to the rescue and operate the ladder.

At 16 inches long, this firetruck is big enough for fun yet perfectly sized for little hands to grasp and maneuver. The joystick functionality and motorized movement promote fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cause-and-effect learning.

The joystick functionality lets them control the ladder’s every move, helping to develop fine motor skills while encouraging independent play. With realistic lights and siren sounds, this rescue vehicle brings excitement to play as your child imagines saving the day. They can also press the forward or reverse buttons for motorized movement, sending the firetruck racing to the scene. At 16 inches long, it’s the perfect size for little hands to easily handle and maneuver.

Park it next to a construction set and the first dump-truck tip gives it a job to do.

Living with this Maxx Action toy truck

The only performance figure we argue about internally is whether an extending ladder still works after a season on a hard floor, and that is what 2-N-1 Firetruck with Joystick Controls was drawn around. Everything else on the box is description. That is the performance test it has to pass before we will put our name on the cab.

Service on this one is deliberately dull: grit brushed dry out of the hubs instead of oiled, a barely damp cloth on the bodywork, and the accessories washed properly in warm water. That is the whole maintenance list. If it fails inside normal service rather than wearing out, raise it through the order page of the partner store that handled the sale.

What owners wrote about this model

Great Toy! Make sure to flip the Try button to ON and it all works fine.

Great toy. My son LOVED it. All these reviews saying the toy didn't work, make me wonder if they READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. They toy has a switch at the bottom that says On/Off/Try mode. It arrives in TRY mode with minimal parts working while boxed. Once you flip it to ON, it all works fine.

Great buy

My 3 y/o is obsessed with this toy. It’s a little loud & obnoxious, but he loves it.

Be sure to replace batteries!

Had several issues but all works after changing it from “try me” mode and replacing the batteries!
